HX049 Flip-Up Magnetic Ski Goggles with Full Electroplated Lens

A flip-up magnetic goggle with a fully electroplated double-layer PC lens, ten magnetic cores, 7 N magnet attraction and a 120° field of view. UV400, five colourways, and worn over prescription glasses.

WORLUX SPORTS supplies the HX049 flip-up magnetic ski goggles with full electroplated lens from Xiamen, China — a TR90 frame stocked in 5 colourways, at MOQ from 100 pcs per colour with your logo and 40–45 day production.

WORLUX HX049, blue mirror colourway. Unit weight 172 g on the model’s factory parameter chart.

A flip-up goggle with published numbers

The HX049 is the technically specific model in this group. Its detail material carries figures rather than adjectives: ten magnetic cores, 7 N of magnet attraction, a 120° field of view and a flip-up lid that opens through 90°. The lens is a double-layer polycarbonate unit with full electroplating, mounted in a TPU frame, and the model carries a UV400 marking.

Flip-up goggles exist because of a specific problem. When a skier stops to talk, check a phone or ride a lift on a warm day, the sealed goggle that protects on the descent becomes the thing that fogs on the way up. Lifting the lens assembly away from the face lets the goggle air out without taking it off, which means the wearer does not have to reset the strap and helmet every time.

Flip-up mechanics: ten magnets, 7 N, 90°

The lens assembly is held by ten magnetic cores. The stated magnet attraction is 7 N, and the lid opens through 90° from the closed position. Those three figures come from the HX049 detail material and they are the reason this page can describe the mechanism concretely rather than vaguely.

For a buyer, the useful part of a stated magnet attraction is that it can be tested. If you order the HX049, 7 N is the number to check against the sample: cycle the lid and confirm that the lens reseats and stays reseated. A flip-up goggle that drifts out of register is a warranty problem; a stated figure gives your QC something to measure.

Test the mechanism, not the description. The HX049 states ten magnetic cores, 7 N magnet attraction and a 90° flip. Ask for a sample and cycle the lid, then check that the lens reseats square and that the seal is intact when closed. If you need a documented cycle test, request it with your quotation.

Lens: full electroplating, double layer, four surface treatments

The lens is polycarbonate, built in two layers with an air gap between them. That gap slows the movement of heat and moisture from the face towards the cold outer surface, which is the accepted way to slow condensation on the inner lens. The outer lens carries full electroplating — a mirrored finish across the whole lens rather than a partial or windowed coating.

The material lists hydrophobic, oleophobic, anti-fog and anti-scratch treatments. Those are the treatments we state — no durability or grade claims are made. No coating durability claims, no comparative optical figures and no scratch-resistance grades are published for this model, because none are evidenced in the HX049 material.

Field of view: 120°

The HX049 states a 120° field of view. We quote the figure as the model states it, and we do not set it against any other goggle on this site, since comparative numbers of that kind are only meaningful when they are produced on the same test rig by the same method.

Frame, foam and fit

The frame is TPU. TPU is a flexible thermoplastic polyurethane that holds its shape while tolerating cold-weather flex, and it is the standard material where a frame has to seal against the face and still take the movement of a strap over a helmet.

The face foam is a three-layer impact design, consistently shown across the HX049 detail images. Three layers combine a soft contact surface against the skin, a denser sealing layer and an impact-absorbing backing. The strap is adjustable with an anti-slip backing.

The model’s factory parameter chart gives 172 g per unit. Strap length is not published for the HX049 — it is not marked on this model’s material. If it is a listing or freight requirement, raise it with your enquiry and it will be confirmed against the current production sample.

Wearing over prescription glasses

The HX049 is shown in product photography being worn over a pair of prescription glasses, and over-glasses wear is the claim we make for it. It is not an insert system. No prescription insert, RX inner frame or corrective lens is included with this model, and none appears in the HX049 images. A buyer who needs insert-based correction should raise it at enquiry stage and treat it as a separate specification item.

Five colourways

The standard range is five colourways, combining different frame finishes with the electroplated lens. Because full electroplating is the finish, the lens is reflective across its whole surface and the colour of the mirror shifts with the viewing angle. That is a characteristic of the finish, not a defect, but it does mean a colour card or a sample set is worth ordering before artwork is approved.

OEM/ODM and customisation

Light OEM/ODM work starts at 300 pieces, with custom packaging available on request. Logo and packaging are the two named customisation levers. On a model with a mechanism like the HX049, it is worth deciding early whether the logo goes on the frame, the strap or the packaging, because frame-mounted branding on a flip-up goggle has to clear the moving lid.

Packing and carton configuration

Standard packing wraps each pair in tissue paper and packs it into a milk bag. Inner cartons hold 10 pairs; outer cartons hold 100 pairs, so there are ten inner cartons to an outer. Inner carton dimensions are 51 × 21 × 11 cm and outer carton dimensions are 54 × 45 × 59 cm. No lens cloth, pouch, EVA case or retail colour box forms part of the standard HX049 packing description — specify any of those as customisation so they are costed and scheduled with the order.

Compliance documents

Compliance documents: available on request — confirmed with your quotation.

UV400 is marked on the HX049 detail chart, and that is the only UV statement made on this page. No product certification, standard number or approval claim is published here for the HX049.

Minimums, mixed batches and lead time

Ready-to-ship stock ships from low minimums and mixed batches are accepted. Logo and packaging customisation carry their own minimum, and lead time depends on the lens and coating package you specify. Send us your colour plan and we will confirm both in the quotation.

What to send with your enquiry

Send your colour plan, the markets the goods are bound for, whether frame, strap or packaging carries the logo, and any documentation your market will require. If field of view or the flip mechanism is central to your positioning, ask for the measurement method and a cycle test at the same time so both land in the same quotation.

Stock build & options

What can ship as standard — and what you can change

Every quote starts from a defined stock build for this model. Options are added on top, and each one is confirmed in your quotation so there is no ambiguity about what arrives.

Stock buildSee the specification table above for this model. Anything not listed there is confirmed in your quotation.
Stock colourwaysQuoted from the current stock range for this series. See the colourways in the series catalogue, or ask us for the stock colour chart.

Optional extras — not fitted unless your quotation says so

Frame colourCustom colour to your reference or Pantone — an ODM colourway, 300 pcs per colour.
Lens colourTinted or mirrored to your specification; measured transmission is confirmed per colourway.
Lens features (optional)Everything in this row is an option we can add to a production run — it is not part of the stock build of the model on this page unless your quotation lists it. Where a feature is already standard on this model, the line below means a further treatment rather than the standard build.

AR coating (anti-reflective, inner face)  ·  additional scratch-resistant coating  ·  polarised lens  ·  salt-water resistant  ·  oleophobic (anti-oil, anti-fingerprint)  ·  enhanced anti-fog treatment.
Frame materialBio-based frame options are available on some models — ask us for the model you are considering.
Branding and packagingLogo on frame, lens or strap by laser marking, silk-screen printing, hot stamping or pad printing; pouch, box, hangtag and private-label artwork.
If you specify any of the following, how they affect your order. Lens features such as AR coating, scratch resistance, polarisation, salt-water resistance, oleophobic and enhanced anti-fog are applied per piece. They do not change the minimum order quantity, but they do affect the unit price. Custom frame and lens colours are a separate matter: those are ODM colourways and carry the 300 pcs per colour minimum. Availability and lead time vary by model and lens platform, so every option is confirmed in the quotation before you commit.
